Greetings my brothers and my sisters in the Messiah Yeshua, Melekh HaM’lekhim and Adon Ha’Adonim – King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Today is a beautiful shabbat the Lord has made in Wichita, Kansas – cloudy – a bit cooler for July. A great time this morning worshipping at Eitz Chayim fellowship – see Events page for Eitz Chayim events.

Our brother Jeff Knoblauch shared about Balaam’s mysterious identity – speaking forth the words of God, but not actually FOLLOWING God. It is the great spiritual truth that GOD is the king of the Spiritual world, and nothing – no curse or blessing, can happen without His approval. As Balaam was a seer/prophet of sorts, though he practiced divination (forbidden) – perhaps serving other gods, too, he – being in touch with the true spiritual realm – he KNEW no spiritual thing happens without the King’s approval. Thus, he respected the true God from a distance but did not SERVE the true God, later demonstrated by the fact that he counseled seducing the men of Israel with foreign women. That is not serving God or God’s people – that is trying to attack God’s people.

Jeff mentioned the scripture that even the demons, and thus the Adversary himself (HaSatan — Satan/the devil), they BELIEVE in God, and TREMBLE WITH FEAR.

So believing is not enough. We must follow Him and serve Him.
